DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Christina Bergey\, Mary Whelan\,  Erin Vogel\, Rutgers University; María Fernanda Figueroa Díaz Escobar\, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México; Erin Kuprewicz\, University of Connecticut; Marley Peifer\, Nature Journaling and Education. \nAbstract:Do you research tropical environments and/or work with people and communities in the Tropics? Do you teach or want to create courses on tropical environments or societies? Or perhaps you are interested in the Tropics as a fascinating area of the world? This symposium will feature six special guest speakers with experience working in Mexico\, Costa Rica\, the Amazon Basin\, Africa\, and Indonesia\, as part of two panels\, one on research and one on education.
