RCEI Clean Energy Certificate & Fellowship
Rutgers Climate and Energy Institute (RCEI) and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) have partnered to launch a clean energy workforce accelerator that pairs classroom instruction with public-sector experience. This partnership is defined by two Master’s-level graduate initiatives: The RCEI Clean Energy Certificate & The RCEI Clean Energy Fellowship.
Clean Energy Certificate

The RCEI Clean Energy Certificate is a 9-credit interdisciplinary credential for Master's-level graduate students that combines engineering, policy, and economics. This certificate prepares students for roles spanning the technical, economic, and regulatory dimensions of clean energy in the private and public sector.
Clean Energy Fellowship

The RCEI Clean Energy Fellowship is a paid placement within BPU's Division of Clean Energy (DCE) and Office of Federal and Regional Policy (OFRP). This fellowship is available to Rutgers Master's students who want to advance clean energy policy alongside New Jersey's clean energy leaders. This fellowship is offered every Spring, Summer, and Fall semester.
