U.S. National Science Foundation, Exploring the Ethics and Societal Interactions of Climate Intervention. Takes place virtually on October 15,18, 22, 25 and November 18, 21, 2024.

The Climate Reality Project, Climate Reality Leadership Corps Virtual Training. Brings together individuals passionate about climate action through a mix of interactive sessions, expert presentations, and skill-building workshops. Expect in-depth training on the climate crisis, insight on how to mobilize to fight for climate justice and discover community driven opportunities. Takes place from October 17-23, 2024 virtually. College of Menominee Nation - Sustainable Development Institute, 4th installment of the Shifting Seasons Summit. Takes place in Keshena, Wisconsin from September 30-October 3, 2024. 

Restore America’s Estuaries, 2024 Coastal and Estuarine Summit. Takes place in Washington D.C from October 6-10. 

Indigenous Peoples Global Coordinating Committee and Securing Indigenous Peoples Rights to a Green Economy (SIRGE) Coalition, Just Transition: Indigenous People's Perspective, Knowledge and Lived Experiences Summit. Takes place from October 8-10, 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland. 

International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), The 20th Triennial Conference. Conference will take place from October 13-15, 2024 in Beijing, China.

Partners in Progress: Floodplain Management in New Jersey. NJ Association for Floodplain Management 19th Annual Conference. Takes place from October 22-24, Atlantic City, NJ. Student Conference Scholarships, Deadline October 1, 2024. Applicants must be student members of NJAFM and presently enrolled in an academic or trade program by  October 1, 2024.  Send  bio and letter of interest explaining your academic and/or professional goals or ambitions in floodplain management to Elissa Commins, NJAFM President and Scholarship Committee Chair at ecommmins@twp.brick.nj.us.  Include a copy of a floodplain management or related topic project or paper you completed as part of your academic studies.  Scholarship recipients will receive all the benefits of a paid conference attendee including access to all conference programming sessions, several meals, networking events, and onsite parking.
