On October 22, 2021, Rutgers Professor of Anthropology David Hughes discussed his book "Who Owns the Wind? Climate Crisis and the Hope of Renewable Energy" with Jorge Marcone Rutgers Professor of Spanish and Portuguese and Rutgers Professor of Human Ecology Rachael Shwom.

Hughes’ book sets opposition to Spanish wind farms in cultural and historical context – and proposes more democratic renewable energy everywhere. This event, held in person and virtually, was co-sponsored by Rutgers Climate Institute and Rutgers Energy Institute.
