Abstract: Luisa Neubauer, leading German environmental activist, on what we can do to push governments to act on the changes in climate policy we need; Gubad Ibadoghlu, Azerbaijani political economist and activist, on the EU’s buttressing of authoritarianism, dirty fossil fuel production, and local environmental destruction in Azerbaijan; and Elena Apostoli Cappello, Italian anthropologist and activist, who will speak about the “gilets jaunes,” their complicated politics, and their relation to climate issues.
