The Rutgers University Center for Ocean Observing Leadership (RUCOOL) team has been selected by The Oceanography Society as the recipient of the TOS Ocean Observing Team Award. This award recognizes innovation and excellence in scientific and practical ocean observing. RUCOOL has been recognized for transforming oceanography by sharing their pioneering sampling platforms, sensing methods, and their integration in models and education. The RUCOOL team consists of RCEI Affiliates Thomas Grothues, Josh Kohut, Janice McDonnell, Travis Miles, Daphne Munroe, Grace Saba, and Oscar Schofield.
