Rutgers University revealed plans to develop the world’s first ever floating wind farm. The initiative includes building a Net-Zero Wind Energy Test (WET) Center and a smaller WET Lab. With funding from public sources and Rutgers, the project addresses engineering challenges in testing large floating turbines. The interdisciplinary effort involves faculty from various departments including RCEI Affiliates Onur Bilgen, Josh Kohut, and Director Julie Lockwood.
